Welcome to Ozark ADV Rides. I’m Fred. I just retired and released the first version of this website in August 2026.

I have always been drawn to exploration. The places you don’t find on the usual tourist map, the back roads that lead somewhere unexpected, the small towns with a story to tell, and the feeling that there is always something new just beyond the next turn.

For me, motorcycles became the perfect way to experience that kind of adventure. A motorcycle doesn’t separate you from the world around you. You feel the weather, smell the forest, see the landscape change, and meet people along the way. A ride can turn a simple road into a story you will remember for years.

I have ridden across the country, including a journey from Charleston, South Carolina, to San Diego, California. But some of my favorite discoveries have come from exploring closer to home, and living near the Ozarks opened up an entirely new kind of adventure.

The Ozarks are an incredible playground for adventure riders — beautiful paved roads, gravel, forest roads, remote communities, historic places, rivers, mountains, overlooks, camping, and countless roads that seem to exist simply because someone once decided to build a road through the middle of nowhere.

That’s where Ozark ADV Rides came from. I am building this site to help other riders discover the Ozarks the way I believe they should be experienced: on two wheels, with enough curiosity to leave the main road and see what’s around the corner.

I am riding and scouting routes, looking for interesting destinations, historic sites, camping and lodging, great places to stop, hidden gems, and the roads that make the journey worthwhile. I am documenting what I find and building routes and resources that other adventure riders can actually use.

Ozark ADV Rides is only a part of the bigger picture. Adventures Worth Living is about the philosophy behind all of this. I believe we can spend too much of our lives working, worrying, planning for someday, and watching other people have adventures through a screen. At some point, you have to get out there and live.

You don’t need an expensive motorcycle. You don’t need to travel across the country. You don’t even need to go very far. Sometimes an adventure is a road you’ve never ridden, a town you’ve never visited, a campsite you’ve never seen, or simply deciding on a Saturday morning to point the motorcycle in a different direction.

That’s what I’m trying to capture through these two projects. Adventures Worth Living is about the journey, the experiences, and the idea that life should be lived deliberately. Ozark ADV Rides is about one incredible place where that philosophy can come alive.
